What is a good beginner (but good quality) keyboard/piano?

I’m looking for a beginners (but serious) keyboard for my 7-year-old son who wants to start taking piano lessons.
I *think* I narrowed it down to one of these 2 (others are welcome, but I’m trying to stay under 0, preferably under 0):
Yamaha YPT-220 or Casio CTK-2100.
I’m trying to see which of these 2 is better or more appropriate.
Any pros/cons to each? Opinions and thoughts welcome!
Thanks!
I understand that the "feel" of the keys is important; but for a tight budget (under 0) are there ANY suggestions on what make/models we can look at, for a beginner, that can last around 2 years? Portable is preferred (so he can take it to "grandmas" if he wanted to). Used is fine too (and if so, where else can we look besides Craigslist and local stores? Anywhere online?). Thanks!
ok I guess I should add, if 0 is way too low (starting to sound like it – also from some searches) for a weighted keyboard, how much is reasonable to spend on a good, beginner’s keyboard or digital piano with weighted keys, even if used? Any suggestions on specific models (and places to buy them used) would be appreciated.
Thanks again.
Thoughts on any of these?

Yamaha NP-30
Yamaha DGX-230
Yamaha YPG235

How do these compare to a P-80/P-90?
How do these look, for a 7-yo beginner? Looking to make it "last" about 2 years…

‘Sneak Peek’ as I Learn to Play Casio CTK-800 Keyboard

This is just a ’sneak peek’ into my first attempt at playing the Casio Keyboard to a drum rhythm – melodies are mine – ‘off the top of my head’ :) The camera really should be viewing the keyboard and not me!! :) Please excuse the sound quality (webcam microphone!)… will do shorter videos next time too! This first video may be a bad one perhaps – just a ‘practice session’ – but its a preview – for better videos to come! I have a goal now, to get my musical skills back up to scratch and to eventually teach others how to play the Casio CTK-800 keyboard — and the Korg Digital Piano Concert NC-500 (plus how to use music software in creating music) – SO, a new Music Channel will be coming from me soon! This is great fun because it helps one’s mood! Ever feel a little down or stressed? One of the best ways to help yourself is to get into a hobby, and take your mind off any worries! Hence, I’m getting back into music and learning how to edit videos, and making a fool of myself on YouTube in the process !! There is a saying – ‘Angels Fly High Because They Take Themselves Lightly!! :-) LOL

What brand piano keyboard should I get?

I’m a high school student looking for a little more musical enrichment in her life. Sadly, my parents won’t pay for a keyboard, but they will for lessons. So I’m looking to buy one off of craigslist.

I’ve never had a keyboard before, so I don’t really know much about brands. I’ve seen Yamaha, Casio, and Radio Shack on craigslist and was wondering what your thoughts on those brands were. Please speak from experience or thorough research. I want to get something worth my money.
