I wanna learn how to play keyboard, but the thing is that all the classes are full.. So I was wondering if I could teach myself until I start? And how long could it take to be able to read sheet music? And play rnb,hip hop songs like alica keys songs etc? I am thinking about taking guitar lessons and I am wondering if there are any similarities between it and the keyboard.

I have played the piano for about 5 years, so i have no problem with reading sheet music. However I don’t know how to read guitar tabs so I was wondering if it is hard to learn in comparison with the piano.

I know absolutely nothing about playing the keyboard, but I want to learn how to. I tried self teaching myself, but I have trouble reading sheet music and taking classes is expensive. I mean, per class is overstepping it if you’re going to take a year to learn the basics. Thanks!

I’m trying to play the melody to a certain song on some sheet music on my string bass, and there are some chords that can’t be played. Is it possible to play a chord as one note?

I try to get my fiance to help me but he just says things like "Play chords and scales." And he says that I have to "learn the instrument before I can get better at it" So he tells me to learn to read sheet music. We have a keyboard and it’s the only instrument that keeps my interest. I see my fiance playing all these little "exercises" on his guitar. How do I do the same but for keys?

I recently purchased a keyboard and I need help because I don’t know how to play or read sheet music. Is there anything that is good for beginners out there that I can refer to. A website or book would be great. Please keep in mind, I’m totally new to the concept of making/playing music. Any suggestions would help! Thanks in advance.

A lot of people who cover songs on youtube say that they don’t use sheet music, but they use guitar chords. I was just wondering how. Are the guitar chords the same concept as they would be for piano ?
